what should i do after extracting.

The zip file should contain a folder called "Guru3d.com". Inside the Guru3d.com folder, there should be another folder called "Setup." Inside of the "Setup" folder, run the file called "setup.exe."

When you try to extract it it says its not a valid archive

Hello!  I downloaded the 32-bit for Vista, and it set up fine, but when I launched the creature creator, I found that the screen now flickers when playing the game.  I can tell that it doesn't freeze up anymore, but is there anything I can do about this screen flicker?

i was having the same freezing problem, and then downloaded the driver, but now the creater wont even start. it says Could not create the graphics device, directX is unavailable.[1002]. it didnt say this before. i looked around for answers but couldnt find some. any ideas?

When i open the setup.exe and start to install
i get a prompt saying:
Windows recommends that you stop this installation

because it says it can break the hardware
what should i do?

The first time I did it, I stopped at the warning because I was scared. I then spent the whole day being annoyed I couldn't play spore. Then, I tried it again and I allowed it to install.
It worked! Thankyou so much, this has made me very happy, and the game in wonderful. This was my last hope and it worked. 
Mr Man, I reccommend you allow it to install. It has no damaged my computer and it worked instantly!

I got it sorted, I'll love you forever. For everyone who gets my error message (look further up, my antivirus (Mcafee) was blocking the update. Disable your antivirus and firewall before installing. Once again, thanks.

im gonna try it on 7300, hope it works :S  if it does, then thanks.. if it doesn't and my graphics card stops functioning.. then i will probably cry and not come back on.. ill post if it works though.  Funnily enough, I have Driver Detective which didn't pick up the problem.

Good News:  My Graphics card didn't die.

Bad News: Problem didn't get fixed.  Still freezing :(

Operating Nvidia GEforce GO 7300 on Acer 9420 Notebook and had big problems running Spore: tried 4 or 5 different fixes elsewhere with no joy.

This has fixed it and running perfectly (and so much simpler than messing aroung with modded inf files - as required on all the other fixes).

My kids and I can't thank you enough.  Brilliant brilliant brilliant!!!!! 

Does this also work voor the whole game Spore (not creature creator) ??

Thank you so much.  This fixed my problem with spore.  I have an HP laptop with vista GeForce 7200 Go video card.  When I tried to update my video card on nVIDIA it told me I had to get it from the manufacturer, HP hasn't bothered to update their driver since sometime in 2007.  This driver powered through the BS.

It worked amazingly on Spore, but I had to roll back to my previous drivers to play Bioshock because it would freeze and crash back to windows after 5 minutes.

Ok i found the setup.exe but its telling me that it detected my computer wasn't vista 32-bit and just cancels the installation and leaves me clueless.  Im 98 percent its vista 32 bit because its vista and my display settings are in 32 bit. I feel like im so close to fixing spore i want this to work so badly what do i do???
